In the early 2000s, in Trois-Rivières, a company called Installation FOM was created. The company was born of the passion and dream of its founder, Francis Guillemette. Francis had always been fascinated by the strength and versatility of steel buildings, and dreamed of seeing them proliferate in Quebec.
The company specializes in the installation of steel structures. Whether for warehouses, factories, garages or farm buildings, FOM was there to make customers’ dreams come true.
Over the years, Installation FOM has become synonymous with quality and professionalism. The buildings they installed were not only solid, but also designed to meet the specific needs of each customer. FOM’s teams worked tirelessly, demonstrating unparalleled expertise, and soon their reputation extended beyond the province’s borders, with hundreds of satisfied customers testifying to the quality of FOM’s work. However, Francis had an even greater vision for his company. He wanted to expand his product offering to meet all his customers’ needs.
In early 2021, he joined forces with Randy Sariol Levy , a long-time friend and partner. Randy, with over a decade of experience in the U.S. steel building industry, had worked and collaborated with several high-caliber companies in this field. Together, they shared a common ambition to transform the steel building industry in Quebec.
And so, in 2022, Metbec was born. Founded by Francis Guillemette and Randy Sariol Levy , Metbec, a subsidiary of Installation FOM, specializes in the supply of steel buildings, offering its customers an even wider range of choices.
To realize this ambitious project, Metbec made a strategic decision to partner with the Robertson Group in Ontario, a renowned steel building company. This collaboration gave Metbec access to considerable expertise and resources, expanding its ability to supply an impressive selection of industrial steel buildings.
The merger of Metbec and Robertson created a major force in the Canadian steel building industry. Now, under the name Metbec Buildings Inc., the company was ready to serve its customers with an unrivalled range of industrial steel buildings, from gigantic warehouses to sophisticated industrial complexes.
Metbec continues the legacy of quality and professionalism established by Installation FOM. Their steel buildings are more than just structures; they embody confidence, durability and innovation.
Thus, Metbec, under the visionary leadership of Francis Guillemette and Randy Sariol Levy, has become a pillar of the Quebec steel building industry, proudly serving its customers with solid, modern, customized structures that stand the test of time.
